I make this whale entirely by hand without the use of molds or machines. It is made from borosilicate crystal, trimmed with 24k gold and I personally sign the piece upon its completion. The brilliant rainbow of colors, including violet, pink, purple and blue, is created when I apply pure gold to the glass while it is still molten. I was inspired to create this figurine after seeing herds of magnificent whales running up the California coast not far from my home. Sculpture is approximately 4 inches long and 3.5 inches tall.
